BCG 2011 SSFIV Double Elimination Knockout Format

The format that we would like to propose is similar to one to be used for MW2 Knockout which looks like this;

Winner of Group C vs 2nd of Group D  = Winner Match A

Winner of Group A vs 2nd of Group B = Winner Match B

Winner of Group B vs 2nd of Group A = Winner Match C

Winner of Group D vs 2nd of Group C  = Winner Match D

This is still subject to agreement from other officials, which we will confirm again on the spot later today. But for now this what you can expect later. 

The only possible difference should a disagreement arise would it to be A v C, B v D instead.

However it is double elimination meaning one needs to be knocked twice to be eliminated from the tournament entirely. For those unfamiliar with this format, do ask the officials if you wish to understand more and see how the bracket looks like.

Attention to SSFIV Players

Double Elimination Knockout begins at 3PM.

Nevertheless please do come before that so we could brief everyone on the tournament bracket, who they will be facing and so on.

Due to possible time constraint, we would like to proceed as swiftly possible and this requires everyone to be able to attend on time.

Attention to MW2 Teams

For Group A & B Teams, make sure you make yourself available before 11 so that we can commence the match right away.

To enable things to proceed smoothly, let it be known to the officials that your team is present and ready.

Knockout stage will commence after all group matches are done and Winner/Runners up of each group are paired with each other in the tournament bracket, estimated to be around 2PM. Nevertheless, we would like every team to be available before then.

BCG Update

Timeslots for today will be similar, albeit extended for MW2.

Although on the slot you are required to come at 6PM for example, please come at 4PM nevertheless.

That 6PM was on the assumption that the previous group are done with their matches, which may or may not happened due to teams missing and attending late. Thus we would like to use any free time slots for whatever matches from either group to save time, hence us requiring you to be there and be ready.

MW2 News Update

We were actually given until 10pm to resume MW2 SND competition, however several teams were missing and already gone home thus us unable to continue and wrap up Group A & B. Those matches will be continued on Sunday AM, starting around 11am onwards.

Subject to time constraint, there is a possibility that we might only select top from each group (Total of 4 altogether) to the knockout stages. However at this moment, it is only a speculation.

Today we shall be continuing with the next group (C&D) and hopefully all will be done by today. To the participants, try to ask if you have got any matches left before you're leaving.

BCG 2011 GT5

As of yesterday, the number of participants registering to compete for GT5 competition were 9 with 3 more likely to join in. 

It is possible the number will keep rising up if registration is allowed on spot.

An update on GT5 competition:
1) It will no longer be a head to head race splitscreen, but rather time attack mode.

2)A random track will be drawn in which each will take turn recording their fastest clean lap in a maximum of 5 laps given. 

3) It will be knockout format. 

BCG 2011 MW2 Team Draws

Redraws had to be done due to quite a number of teams not being able to attend on their designated days.Swapping around the team seems unfair and thus the registration team requested for draws to be done again to ensure a little bit of fairness for everyone.
